The downsizing will affect 6% of staff, roughly 70 people, Variety reports, citing an anonymous source. The network will also shut down its CBS News Radio service, which provides programming to 700 stations, in May. Editor-in-chief Bari Weiss alluded to potential cuts in a town hall at the start of the year, saying she wants to attract a younger, more digitally focused audience.
