But internet trolls were in no doubt about what prompted the notoriously gun-shy Australian NBA star to finally attempt a three-point shot with confidence in the third quarter of the 76ers’ 143-120 win against the LA Lakers on Monday.
It was Kendall Jenner’s wandering eye.
Jenner, Simmons’ girlfriend, was again sitting courtside to watch her man go up against LeBron James and the Lakers.
But it was James, not the Aussie beau, who had her attention.
Jenner was photographed looking rather impressed with the three-time NBA champ when scores were tied at 63-63 late in the second quarter.
Less than two minutes into the third stanza Simmons did this.
