The eldest child of a celebrity couple set the internet alight after attending an event flanked by security and hounded by fans.

North West has sparked concern on social media after appearing at a recent event flanked by a 10-person security team and hounded by fans and paparazzi.
The star, who is the 13-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, stepped out at ComplexCon in Los Angeles earlier today to host a pop-up booth for her brand.

While arriving at the Los Angeles Convention Centre for the event – which is organised by pop culture publication, Complex – West was seen surrounded by a huge security detail as dozens of fans and paparazzi clamoured over her as she walked through the venue.
The shocking footage caused concern among some onlookers, who questioned West’s exposure to such intense public scrutiny at such a young age.
“This is the saddest thing I’ve ever seen,” one TikTok user wrote of the mob swarming West.
“I wonder if she ever questions why grown adults want her autograph,” another wrote, while a third said, “she’s too young to be this exposed”.
“So much wrong here, she’s a child,” another concerned user wrote. “This is definitely not a lifestyle suitable for a 13-year-old girl”.
West’s father, Kanye, was spotted at the same ComplexCon event, also surrounded by a large security team.
Both Kanye and his ex-wife have publicly discussed keeping their kids out of the spotlight, with Kardashian saying in a Sunday Times interview published over the weekend that she worries about overexposing her children.
“I do worry about it. Each kid does what they’re comfortable with,” Kardashian said. “North loves it a little bit more than the rest. I hold her back. All she wants to do is forward-facing projects.”
Despite that, all four of Kardashian’s kids – including Saint, 10, Chicago, 8 and Psalm, 7 – all appear on her reality show The Kardashians, and feature prominently on her social media.
Earlier this year, West said in an interview with Dazed Magazine that she has dismissed advice to begin her public-facing career later, saying “this is what I like to do, this is what I want to do with my life”.
West began her music career in May, with the release of her debut EP N0rth4evr.
