Beyoncé's red carpet debut at the Video Music Awards was a touching tribute to her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter — literally.

The mega pop star even donned a baby blue feathery neck piece to match her silver dress in a subtle ode to her precious 4-year-old daughter's name.

The mother-daughter pair walked hand in hand in a surprising red carpet moment for the notoriously private mommy.

The heartwarming moment came on the heels of MTV announcing a surprise Beyoncé performance at the award show Sunday night.

It's unclear if the pop superstar will take the stage by herself or join one of the previously announced musical acts, such as Nicki Minaj and Rihanna. 

It will be a grand night for the "Halo" crooner, who is up for 11 awards, including the highly-coveted Video of the Year for her hit "Formation"
