Moscow opens criminal case over Putin warrant
Russia’s investigative committee says the ICC prosecutor and judges acted “illegally”
Vladimir Putin was filmed by Russian state TV driving around Mariupol in his first visit to Ukraine since the start of the invasion.
The ICC issued the warrant for Putin's arrest on suspicion of unlawful deportation of children and unlawful transfer of people from the territory of Ukraine to the Russian Federation.
Incident has sparked concerns that U.S. and Russia could be brought closer to direct conflict
Ukraine has invited Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to visit after he said the Russian invasion was a "territorial dispute" with Russia which was not one of the US's "vital national interests".
