Three people have been “butchered” in a suspected terror attack in Nice, France, as ‘simultaneous’ attacks were reported elsewhere.

Authorities have confirmed that a missing 20-year-old UC Berkeley student was among the dead following Thursday’s horrific terrorist attack in Nice, France.

Bernard Cazeneuve told France's RTL radio that while Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, a Tunisian living in Nice, may have been inspired by the terrorist network any "links for now have not been established by the investigation.”

Rebab and Ibrahim Bouhlel said there was no sign of unusual behavior or Islamist radicalization when he called.

AN eight-month-old baby lost in the chaos in Nice has been tracked down on Facebook and reunited with his parents.

Many children were among the dead and dozens more were among the wounded, according to French officials.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has suggested testing all US Muslims to see if they believe in Sharia law, and deporting those who do.

He added: "It’s still the same Nice that I know and love, just trying to recover after reeling from that attack yesterday."

President Hollande extended the country's state of emergency, after 84 killed in "terrorist attack."

The Nice killings came hours after President François Hollande of France proclaimed that the state of emergency imposed since the Paris attacks last November would be lifted July 26.
