8 year oldThe Carter clan has gone all out for the spooky holiday in recent years, and this Halloween was no different.
The “Hold Up” singer pulled out all the stops for ’80s and ’90s-themed costumes, with her and her 4½-year-old daughter Blue Ivy dressed as old school hip-hop girl group Salt-N-Pepa — from the music video for their 1986 hit “Push It.” Beyoncé, 35, sported a black bobbed wig, gold chain and oversized jacket while Blue appeared to wear a white body suit, high-top sneakers and a jacket to match her mom’s.
In an Instagram video, Beyoncé and little Blue were shown in a series of photos – including some candid shots — all set to the famous track.
In true Yoncé fashion, the event was a family affair, with husband Jay Z decked out in ’80 gear. Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, also got in on the fun, dressed in old school clothing as she posed for photos with her daughter and granddaughter.
The fun video appeared to follow a night out in which Queen Bey sported her costume for her cousin Angie Beyince’s birthday party on Saturday.
She posed with Shawn Holiday of Sony Music Entertainment, who dressed as Prince in his iconic “Purple Rain” ensemble.
Knowles also joined in on the festivities.
“Danced all night!!” Knowles captioned a photo with the birthday girl herself. “Great party but my feet hurt.”
Last year, Beyoncé got the entire family in on group Halloween costumes inspired by the 1988 comedy film Coming to America.
Beyoncé accessorized her brightly patterned minidress with a turban, wide belt, large beaded necklace and intricately beaded heels. Jay Z did a spot-on impression of Prince Akeem Joffer, Eddie Murphy‘s character in the film, complete with tuxedo, cap, leopard-print stole and single long braid. Meanwhile, Blue Ivy was dressed as one of Prince Akeem’s potential brides from the film.
