Selena Gomez has posted two sexy selfies on Instagram only to delete them hours later.
The singer and actress risked a wardrobe malfunction in the photos shared on Saturday night as she wore a plunging black bandeau top while starring suggestively at the camera.
The photo showed off the 31-year-old’s curves as she posed at her home in LA, but for some reason Gomez got poster’s remorse and swiftly deleted both from her profile.
While it remains unknown why she deleted the photos, Gomez has been subject to an onslaught of body-shaming in the past. While she has previously admitted the trolls and comments upset her from time to time, ultimately she’s happier in the skin she’s in.
When specifically trolled over her appearance at the Golden Globes last year, Gomez responded in an Instagram Live at the time: “I’m a little big right now because I enjoyed myself during the holidays.”
In January this year, she also openly said she “realised I will never look like this again” while sharing a bikini photo of herself from 2013 looking skinnier than ever.
She accompanied the post with another image and a powerful message about self acceptance and body positivity.
“I’m not perfect, but I am proud to be who I am… Sometimes I forget it’s ok to be me,” she wrote in a second photo of herself looking healthier.
“I just want to encourage anyone out there who feels any sort of shame for exactly what they’re going through and nobody knows the real story.”
In a separate video shared on TikTok, the singer said that the medication she takes for her lupus, an auto-immune disease she suffers from, affects her weight.
“I tend to hold a lot of water weight and that happens very normally, and then when I’m off it I tend to kind of lose weight,” she said in the video. “I just wanted to say and encourage anyone out there who feels any sort of shame for exactly what [you’re] going through, [when] nobody knows the real story… you’re beautiful and you’re wonderful.”
“Not a model, never will be,” she added. “Thanks for supporting me and understanding and, if not… go away. Because honestly I don’t believe in shaming people for [their] body or anything.”
