Earlier on Monday, TMZ reported that Braxton was in serious condition and that her boyfriend, rapper Birdman, was traveling to be by her side.

The singer was hospitalized in L.A. due to issues stemming from her Lupus.

Toni Braxton is resting at home on Monday after being hospitalized due to issues stemming from her Lupus.

"Toni is resting at home and she is fine," the singer's rep tells The Hollywood Reporter. "She was in an L.A. hospital for a few days being treated for her Lupus."

Earlier on Monday, TMZ reported that Braxton was in serious condition and that her boyfriend, rapper Birdman, was traveling to be by her side.

Braxton's rep, however, says the singer "was not in serious condition," but added that "Lupus is a serious disease and must be monitored at all times."

"She has been released and starts rehearsals for her upcoming tour this week," her rep told THR.

Towanda Braxton took to Twitter later on Monday to say her sister is "home safe & sound."

Braxton first revealed her Lupus diagnosis at an awareness event for the autoimmune disease in 2010 when she accepted a Woman in Achievement award from the 8th Annual Lupus L.A. Bag Ladies Luncheon. Lupus is a chronic illness that impacts about 1.5 million Americans.

The "Unbreak My Heart" singer has been vocal about her family history with the disease and took to social media after she was hospitalized over health issues related in 2012 with blood clots.

“Some days I can’t balance it all. I just have to lay in bed,” she told the Huffington Post last year about living with the disease. “Pretty much when you have Lupus you feel like you have the flu every day. But some days you get through it. But for me, if I’m not feeling well, I tend to tell my kids, ‘Oh mommy’s just going to relax in bed today. I kind of take it easy.”

This summer, Selena Gomez, who revealed her battle with Lupus last year in a Billboard cover story, announced that she was taking time off from her music career due to the disease. "I’ve been through chemotherapy. That’s what my break was really about. I could’ve had a stroke," she said in 2015.
