Swift’s financial boon came courtesy of her massively successful 1989 World Tour, which raked in more than $264 million last year.
Swift is ahead of fellow pop stars Adele at No. 9 with $105 million, Madonna at No. 12 with $101 million, Rihanna at No. 13 with $99 million and Katy Perry at No. 63 with $54 million.
Swift’s DJ ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris landed at No. 21 on the magazine’s list with $83 million.
Other top 10 earners included boy band One Direction at No. 2 with $145 million, actor-comedian Kevin Hart at No. 6 with $115 million and self-proclaimed ‘king of media’ Howard Stern at No. 7 with $112 million.
Kim Kardashian is featured on the magazine’s cover. She’s No. 42 on the list with $67 million.
Forbes says 40 per cent of her paycheck this year came from her mobile game “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.”
The game’s maker, Glu Mobile, is scheduled to release an app starring Swift next year.
Kardashian shared a picture of the cover on Instagram overnight: “Such a tremendous honor to be on the cover of @forbes!” she wrote. “I never dreamed this would happen and know my Dad would be so proud. #NotBadForAGirlWithNoTalent.”
Beyonce and Jay Z are this year’s highest-paid celebrity couple, with $142 million over the past year.
The other couple both on the list are New England Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady and model Gisele Bündchen with a combined $98 million.
