Sydney Sweeney ‘black-listed’ by Hollywood

Sweeney was radio silent following her recent American Eagle advert controversy, and went viral again after it emerged that she’s reportedly dating Taylor Swift’s nemesis, Scooter Braun.

Following her recent appearance at the Emmys, a Hollywood insider has claimed that the entire night was “awkward” for Sydney, who thought the entire event was “too woke” for her.

“She felt like the whole of the Emmys was very woke, and it was awkward for her – she’s made no secret about where she stands politically, but she’s not going to shout it from the rooftops,” said the source.

“Hollywood still loves her - she was picked to present an award, but the feeling backstage was she was a bit out of place and looking a little lost. She certainly wasn’t the most popular girl there, like she’s used to,” continued the insider.

“There are whispers that some of her peers are taking a step back from their friendships with her - there’s just too much controversy around her at such a politically tense time.”

Sweeney’s career has suffered numerous blows lately, and it’s left her starring in a series of box office bombs. Her 2023 crime thriller, Americana, and 2024 survival thriller, Eden, which also featured Jude Law and Ana de Armas, both flopped upon their release.

Meanwhile, it comes after reports emerged that Sweeney’s romance with Braun is reportedly “hotting up”.

The pair first met at Jeff Bezos’ wedding and have reportedly been growing closer ever since.

“Sydney and Scooter’s romance is hotting up,” said a source close to Sweeney.

“He quietly joined her in Lake Powell over the weekend to celebrate her birthday.

“The surprise union might have raised eyebrows, but she’s going full steam ahead and him being there for her birthday is a big deal and a sign this could be the real deal.”

Sweeney, who has been busy promoting her latest film, Christy, ended her engagement to Jonathan Davino in May after seven years together.

The duo had been engaged since 2022.
