5 year oldJohansson's rep, Marcel Pariseau, confirms to USA TODAY that the couple are engaged after two years together. The Associated Press was the first to report the news on Sunday. No date has been set for the wedding, Pariseau told AP.
The couple went red carpet official just last year, linking arms and posing for photographers at the premiere of "Avengers: Infinity War," in which Johansson starred as Black Widow.
It will be a third marriage for Johansson, 34, who was previously wed to "Deadpool" star Ryan Reynolds (2008 to 2011) and journalist Romain Dauriac (2014 to 2017), the father of her daughter, Rose Dorothy Dauriac, 4.
This is the first marriage for "Saturday Night Live" star Jost, 36, who co-anchors Weekend Update with Michael Che.
Johansson, a vocal member of Hollywood's Time’s Up movement, has played Black Widow, aka Russian spy Natasha Romanoff, since launching the character in “Iron Man 2” in 2010. She's expected to play the role again in a long-awaited “Black Widow” spinoff.
"It's been a very transformative decade," she told USA TODAY before last month's release of "Avengers: Endgame." "When my character started in 'Iron Man 2,' she was like a souped-up secretary with a skill set on the side.”
