5 year oldRihanna’s dad has exploited the singer’s name once again, TMZ reports.
This time around, Rihanna’s dad, Ronald Fenty, is being threatened with a lawsuit by social media star Harvey Justice, a.k.a. Chef Henny.
According to TMZ, Henny’s attorney sent a legal letter to Ronald, alleging Ronald told the social media star numerous times that Ronald repped Rihanna. Henny—who found fame on his YouTube channel, where he makes parody videos of him cooking with Hennessy—also claims Ronald said that Rihanna is an integral part of the company.
Henny says he trusted Ronald and signed with him in April 2018. Henny was guaranteed a marketing budget of $750,000 but says he’s only gotten $50,000 so far. He alleges that Ronald keeps saying the rest of the money is being delayed by a South American investor. Now, Henny wants what he agreed to, as well as additional damages.
Rihanna was embroiled in a legal battle with her father in January and had to take him to court for trying to launch a business endeavor using the Fenty name. Ronald has attempted to launch multiple businesses using the name, including a talent development company in 2017 called Fenty Entertainment, which didn't fly since Rihanna has trademarked “Fenty.”
The singer sent multiple cease and desist letters to her dad, but he continues to try to make money off of her name. In January, she asked the judge to halt her father’s use of “Fenty” and sued for damages.
