7 year oldJustin Bieber left Hillsong church on Wednesday night and, as always, found himself in the middle of a paparazzi swarm.
After entering his truck, the singer attempted to drive off, away from the hoard of photographers and in the rush, accidentally hit Maurice Lamont, an LA-based photographer.
Lamont, who goes by the nickname Shotgetter, gave an update from his hospital bed today, telling his followers he was “hanging in there”.
“An hour before my birthday hits I get ran over by Justin Bieber. Isn’t that something? He’s a good kid though,” he said.
“I think the truck was a little too big for him though because there’s no way he could see over the front ... the slope it was on. Like I said, he got out, he was compassionate, he’s a good kid, accidents happen. Hopefully everything works out here, getting ready to go into the X-ray now,” he added.
The 57-year-old paparazzo was hit by Bieber’s black Dodge Ram pick-up with The New York Post reporting he has non-life threatening injuries.

The accidental hit comes days after the Sorry singer announced he was cancelling the rest of his world tour.
While there was plenty of speculation around the reason why the 23-year-old pop star decided to call it quits on his two-year-long tour, Bieber’s tour rep claimed it was “due to unforeseen circumstances”.
“Justin loves his fans and hates to disappoint them. He thanks his fans for the incredible experience of the Purpose World Tour over last 18 months.”
The cryptic and carefully worded statement continued, “He is grateful and honoured to have shared that experience with his cast and crew for over 150 successful shows across 6 continents during this run. However, after careful consideration he has decided he will not be performing any further dates,” it ended.
