6 year oldJada Pinkett Smith’s 64-year-old mom is showing off her killer abs in a hot pink bikini.
Adrienne Banfield-Norris caused a stir on social media Monday after posting an Instagram photo of herself wearing the bright pink bikini with multicolored stripes. “64 and what? That part!!” the grandmother wrote to her nearly 20K followers.
Her followers were stunned by Banfield-Norris’s fit form and wrote comments such as “What do you doooo,” “She can still get it,” and “Breathtaking.” Some demanded to know the grandmother’s workout routine, and one even commented, “I’m 23 and I don’t look this good.”
The grandmother of 17-year-old Willow Smith and 19-year-old Jaden Smith, whose parents are Will Smith and Pinkett-Smith, is currently starring in her daughter’s Facebook Watch series, Red Table Talk. On the 10-episode show, Banfield-Norris, Pinkett Smith, and Willow invite viewers into their home to discuss parenting, politics, and “personal growth,” as Pinkett Smith told Variety last week.
“When Jada asked me about doing the project, I was like, ‘Sure!’” Banfield-Norris, a nurse, told the Hollywood Reporter. “I don’t think I had any preconceived ideas or expectations of what it was gonna be. Listening to Jada talk about [how] it was a year of growth for her, I took advantage of that and just thought, ‘What is it about me that I would like to grow through in my own personal journey?’ I’m taking this experience to try to help myself with things like my own personal self-confidence, not caring so much what other people think about me.”
That philosophy is crystal-clear on Banfield-Norris’s Instagram account, where she posts workout selfies, style shots, and photos of her ankle tattoo. And on Sunday, she gave fans a glimpse of her diet by sharing a photo of the recipe book The Clean 20 by celebrity physician Ian Smith.
Back in 2014, Pinkett Smith shared a photo on Facebook of her mother, then 61, wearing a bikini and emerging from the ocean like a Bond Girl, causing a similar commotion online. “I wanna be her when I grow up,” Pinkett Smith proudly captioned the photo.
