1 year oldWill Smith was just seen with a woman who is not Jada Pinkett Smith, his wife -- but looks very similar -- at a high-profile event in Miami.
Will and Jada's unconventional marriage has stormed the headlines in past months, especially with the release of the "Red Table Talk" host's memoir, "Worthy."
In it, she made damning revelations about their union, including that she and the "I Am Legend" actor have been separated for years.
Could his new sighting mean Will is moving on from the marriage?
Will Smith Leaves Event With Mystery Bald Woman
On Friday, Will was seen leaving the prestigious Art Basel event in Miami with an unrecognizable woman close to him. The 55-year-old looked in good spirits, wearing a casual outfit comprising a grey-striped polo and matching cargo pants with matching sneakers.
Will took long strides and briefly chatted with the paps while the mystery woman walked closely behind him. What seemed interesting about his acquaintance is that she bore quite the resemblance to Jada, who has been legally married to Will since 1997.
She kept her look simple, rocking a pair of flared jeans with a white tee and open-toe heels. She accessorized with a designer bag and sunglasses while walking just a few meters from the Oscar winner. She also was the only woman in the throng of people, possibly his security team, that followed him.
Will and the female pal reportedly exited the event in the same limousine. They were later seen at the famed pizza restaurant Lucali with other friends.
Will's sighting with the mystery woman comes weeks after Jada reaffirmed their commitment to one another regardless of the bombshell revelations she made in her best-selling memoir. During her appearance on "The Drew Barrymore Show" last month, the mother-of-two declared that they had no plans to ever end their marriage.
She explained to host Drew Barrymore, that she and Will have tried their best to not be together since their 2016 separation, possibly referencing her "entanglement" with younger entertainer August Alsina. However, no matter how hard they tried, they found their way back to one another. "We're staying together forever. I tried; we tried," she quipped.
Jada previously told Hoda Kotb in an interview that she and Will "made a promise that there will never be a reason" to end their marriage. "We will work through whatever. And I just haven’t been able to break that promise," she explained.
Luckily, Will seems to hold on to that promise just as tightly. Following the release of her memoir, he spoke about their tumultuous relationship during an interview with TIDAL's Rap Radar podcast. He said:
"There's no deal breakers. There’s nothing she could do—ever—nothing that would break our relationship. She has my support till death, and it feels so good to get to that space."
Will Smith Describes Marriage To Jada Pinkett As 'Brutiful'
Regardless of the drama that has surrounded their relationship, Will and Jada never shy away from professing their undying love for one another. Such was the case in October when the "Men In Black" star showed up at her memoir event in Baltimore to speak of their bond.
At a promotional event where Will surprised Jada, the award-winning actor said to his partner, "I just really wanted to come out and just be here and hold it down for you the way you have held it down for me."
He continued, "We have had a very, very long and tumultuous [relationship]. We call it 'beautiful.' It was brutal and beautiful at the same time."
Will went on to describe his rocky relationship with Jada as a "sloppy public experiment in unconditional love" before adding, "As I stand here before you today, I am happier than I've ever been in my entire life. I have achieved every single thing I have ever wanted in my entire life."
He concluded, "There is not one thing left that I desire in this world — all of the awards, all of the money, the family — everything I’ve ever dreamed," before appreciating his wife for helping his success which was "largely built on the foundation of Jada's sacrifices."
