Hollywood star Will Smith is facing bizarre allegations about his music career that have left some fans absolutely baffled.
Will Smith has appeared to go through great lengths to attract people to his shows, even resorting to creating cheering crowds via AI, per fans’ suspicions.
The Wild Wild West rapper is currently overseas on his Based on a True Story Summer Tour, which kicked off on July 13 and concludes in early September.
This is the singer’s first headlining solo tour, following the release of his first full-length album in two decades.
However, Will, 56, isn’t relying on his loyal fanbase to fill seats at his concerts, as many are convinced that he doctored his latest video promoting the tour to appear to have larger crowds.
The actor posted the minute-long clip on his YouTube channel earlier this month, showing him performing in numerous packed venues filled with screaming fans.
It also captured many show-goers getting emotional while watching the rap star and holding up signs praising him.
Will captioned the post, “My favourite part of tour is seeing you all up close. Thank you for seeing me too.”
But fans immediately questioned the authenticity of the video and accused the Men in Black singer of “faking” his audience.
“Fake AI crowd, fake comments, bots like. 21k ‘likes for Will Smith?” one viewer commented.
“Imagine being this rich and famous and having to use AI footage of crowds and bot comments on your video. Tragic, man. You used to be cool,” another slammed.
“It’s equal parts embarrassing as it is hilarious. AI crowd to top it off as well. Sad as hell lol,” wrote a third.
“Holy AI … It’s not even a good AI render you instantly see that is fake …” claimed a fourth.
The ridicule continued in another online thread after a critic posted the video and pointed out its seemingly altered appearance.
“This is a weird one as his tour seems to have been going well but for some reason his team have decided to use AI crowds for chunks of this clip,” one user said.
“I just watched the full clip and I can’t BELIEVE someone watched this on his team and said “yeah send it out” people’s faces are melting ?!?! The “we luv you will” signs ???? His ego is so FRAGILE he needs to make fake fans …” added another.
