8 year oldWell, nobody, if you’re Leslie Jones. And she’s not thrilled about it.
The Saturday Night Live star and comedian, who, with Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon, is starring in the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot, announced on Twitter that she’s having trouble finding a dress for the premiere. And, like a true Ghostbuster would, she first gets mad, and then she gets even.
“It’s so funny how there are no designers wanting to help me with a premiere dress for movie,” Jones wrote on Twitter. “Hmmm that will change and I remember everything.”
Designer Christian Siriano popped up in her Twitter replies with a wave — he’s been a longtime favorite of tons of stars, including up-and-comers like Danielle Brooks ( who now models for him) and curvy A-listers like Christina Hendricks, who may have trouble wearing straight-from-the-runway samples.

But Jones isn’t the first star to complain that she has had trouble finding the perfect dress if she doesn’t fit a certain mold. Her Ghostbusters co-star McCarthy said she started her clothing line after asking “five or six designers” for an Oscars gown and “they all said no.”
Octavia Spencer had similar difficulty finding an Oscars gown the year she was nominated: “It’s very difficult to make a woman of different sizes look as chic, as sexy, without making them wear a tent,” Spencer said. “Normally, that’s what they give you. ‘Here is your designer dress, but it’s a tent.’ I’m sorry, I just refuse to do that. It’s not gonna happen, honey! I’m not going to wear a muumuu!”
Other stars who have complained of dress discrimination include Khloé Kardashian (“Stylists had nothing in my size“), Bryce Dallas Howard ( who buys her own dressesbecause she was tired of the limited options available to her as a size six) and even Beyoncé ( whose mom made all her clothes because designers didn’t want to dress her).
What do you think of Jones’ dress dilemma? What do you think she should wear?
