Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling are expecting baby number two

The couple are expecting their second child together, US Weekly reports.

Mendes, 42, and Gosling, 35, welcomed their first baby Esmeralda in September 2014.

After their daughter was born, the actress said in an interview, “Ryan and I decided early on to give her as much privacy as we could. And my pregnancy was the first opportunity to give her that.”

The couple began dating in 2011 after they met on the set of The Place Beyond The Pines

Gosling and Mendes have kept their relationship largely out of the public eye, although the actor did say in an interview with Hello! magazine, “I know that I’m with the person I’m supposed to be with.” 
Mendes said in an interview late last year that she would be taking a break f-rom Hollywood to focus on family.

“If I’m even like, ‘Oh, what should I wear? Or, should I do this project? All I have to think about is my daughter and her face, and I know the answer immediately,” she said. “She’s my moral compass in a way.”
