All of the massive numbers connected to proper streaming services are great, but they don’t hold a candle to YouTube, which is still how the world listens to music
When the RIAA recently released its annual report that revealed the overall health of the music biz, it became clear that streaming music sites have officially turned things around for the industry, and business is growing again. Platforms like Spotify, Pandora, iHeartRadio and a handful of other players are now where hundreds of millions of people go to access their music. In fact, Spotify alone now has well over 100 million users, with at least 50 million of them paying for their listening. All of the massive numbers connected to proper streaming services are great, but they don’t hold a candle to YouTube, which is still how the world listens to music…a fact that isn’t exactly making the music industry happy. ...()
