In a stunning reversal Wednesday, US President Donald Trump signed a bill mandating the release of government files on convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The documents could shed light on the full extent of Epstein’s criminal network and connections to the powerful, though experts warn redactions and legal limits may leave many details in the dark.
It is unclear whether the Senate would take up the measure if the House passes it. Trump would also need to sign the legislation to compel the release of the documents.
