8 year oldNominations for the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards are out, and the Shake It Offsinger has failed to pick up a single one.
It’s made all the more worse by the fact that last year was undoubtedly The Taylor Show — she was up for a whopping 10 awards and went on to win four of them, including the coveted “Video Of The Year” for her star-studded Bad Blood clip.
The full list of nominees was released overnight, with Beyonce earning a career-best 11 nods for Lemonade, while Adele landed eight for Hello and Send My Love (To Your New Lover).
But 26-year-old Swift received a big fat zero, despite the fact the six-time VMA winner released three music videos over the past year — Wildest Dreams, Out Of The Woods and New Romantics.
The Wildest Dreams clip even debuted during the 2015 VMA preshow.
Could it be that MTV has chosen a side in the Kimye-Taylor feud? After all, the rapper and pop star’s shady narrative actually began back in 2009 at the VMAs, when Kanye infamously took over the microphone during her ‘Best Female Video’ acceptance speech.
Either way, the internet has predictably exploded with opinions over the rebuff.
