This article is more than
8 year oldYou know when you're performing in front of thousands of screaming of fans and you're just trying to talk to them, to really connect and they just won't stop screaming? No? Well then you're probably not Justin Bieber.
The singer's fans, known as Beliebers, are notorious for their fervor and loyalty, but sometimes they're just a little too passionate. At a recent concert in the U.K., Bieber took a break between songs to chat with the audience about being on the road and being away from family and friends. But the audience was listening.
“Can you guys do me a favor?” Bieber asked the crowd. “Can you guys just relax for like two seconds?”
His fans laughed at this ... and then kept screaming.
"I get it, I get it, I get it," he said after trying to get serious again. "But I'm like two feet away from you. ... I appreciate all the love, it's amazing. But can you show it in a different way?"
He also said that the screaming is "so obnoxious," and suggested perhaps they can wait until after the songs to let it all out.
“And then take a chill pill for a second and just listen to me speak," he went on. "I don’t feel like I’m being heard sometimes and it gets a little frustrating. So if when I’m speaking you guys could not scream at the top of your lungs, is that cool with you guys? Can we do that?”
Even pop superstars just need to be heard sometimes.
You can watch Bieber's mini-speech below, captured by a fan at the concert.
