The 30-year-old formerTwilight actress is portraying the late Princess of Wales in the upcoming film, with a new picture released showing an unrecognisable Stewart with Diana’s short blonde hair and sapphire engagement ring.
Stewart also wore a tartan jacket and cream polo neck in the publicity image.

The movie will centre around three days in 1991 at the royal family’s Sandringham Estate, where they usually spend the festive season.
Over Christmas Eve, Christmas, and Boxing Day, Diana realises that her marriage to Prince Charles has unravelled and re-evaluates the direction her life has taken.

The story will show her tough decision to leave the royal family for good, and focus on how she found strength in difficult times.
Filming began in January in Germany but has since moved to the UK.
In an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Stewart discussed the challenges that came with portraying the iconic Princess, who died in a car accident in Paris in August 1997.
”It’s hard not to feel protective over her. She was so young,” Stewart told Kimmel.
“Everyone’s perspective is different, and there’s no way to get everything right, what is fact in relation to personal experience.”

She also previously opened up about how she has prepared for the role, telling Entertainment Tonight: “This is a really kind of poetic, really internalised imagining of maybe the heaviest three days’ time before she does something as gnarly as leaving the royal family.
“I’m just sort of reading everything that I can and then forgetting it, because it’s kind of a really internalised story.”
Poldark actor Jack Farthing has been cast as Prince Charles while the rest of the cast includes Timothy Spall, Sally Hawkins and Sean Harris.
Spencer is expected to be released later this year.
