7 year oldU.S. President Donald Trump says he does not have recordings of conversations with former FBI Director James Comey.
That's according to the president, in a post on Twitter on Thursday afternoon.
Trump's tweet came within the hour of Bloomberg News reporting the same, citing a person familiar with the matter.
Days after firing Comey, Trump tweeted on May 12 that the former head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation "better hope that there are no 'tapes' of our conversations."
Lawmakers investigating alleged Russian meddling in the U.S. 2016 election had asked the White House for any such recordings.
