6 year oldSure, you may have played with Apple’s new Animojis, which turn your facial expressions into moving emojis. But Apple helped show their full potential on Grammy night with ads featuring Migos and Childish Gambino.
The ads are fascinating, and captivating — and may change the way you visualize the songs. Unless you’ve been imagining Childish Gambino, aka “Atlanta” star Donald Glover, as an alien surrounded by unicorns.
The first animoji ad, above, featuring “Stir Fry” by Migos, shows the rapper’s represented by a puppy, a fox, and a poop emoji, with a little support from veggie emojis, smoke, and sunglasses.

The second commercial spot features “Redbone” by Childish Gambino as the alien emoji–and the halo jewelery shown on the “Awaken, My Love!” cover art.
“Despacito” got in on the emoji love, too, featuring Daddy Yankee and Luis Fonsi as a rooster and a bunny.
