The attack raised questions over how yet another Islamist extremist known to police was able to bring terror to the heart of the French capital.

The man France alerted Belgian security services to as a possible suspect in the deadly Paris shooting has turned himself in to Belgian police in the city of Antwerp, France’s Interior Ministry spokesman said.

At least one police officer has been killed and another one injured in a shooting incident in central Paris, Reuters report, citing police sources. The suspected attacker was also killed, reports say.
