Rumor Roundup (Sept. 9, 2016): Paige quitting WWE, Alberto Del Rio update, Cesaro vs. Sheamus, more!

Seculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Rumors for the Day:

• If Front Row Brian is to be believed, Paige has quit WWE and she has hired legal representation to help get her out of her contract.

• Super Luchas has reported that Alberto Del Rio will comment on his future in WWE and beyond at a press conference in Mexico City today. MLW would later say it may be cancelled.

• Not surprisingly, the plan does appear to be to have Cesaro vs. Sheamus go the distance in their best-of-7 series with the final match happening at Clash of Champions.

• Don't be surprised if Heath Slater and Rhyno win the SmackDown Live tag team title tournament.

• Cody Rhodes can't use the "Rhodes" name if he's doing a television show, according to the Observer. There are apparently still talks going on with WWE, however.
