The NFL has announced a major punishment for a Super Bowl halftime show protester who snuck in as backup dancer.

The NFL has announced the protester who interrupted the Super Bowl halftime show has been banned for life.

The man was tackled by security after unveiling a Palestine flag as Kendrick Lamar performed.

He was taken by police and removed from the Caesars Superdome.

It has now emerged the person detained was one of 400 performers in the halftime show.

He had managed to sneak in to protest as part of Kendrick’s backup dancers.

Although the moment was captured by photographers on hand at the event, it was largely missed by TV viewers.

NFL have now revealed the man has been banned for life.

He cannot attend any NFL games or enter stadiums in the future.

The man had shown off a flag with Gaza and Sudan on it.

It was in protest as the war raging on in the Middle East.

They jumped on top of a car which was being used in the performance.

The performer was ejected from the stadium after the incident.

No arrests or summons were made by New Orleans police.

“We commend security for quickly detaining the individual who displayed the flag,” said the NFL.

“He was a part of the 400-member field cast.

“The individual hid the item on his person and unveiled it late in the show.

“No one involved with the production was aware of the individual’s intent.

“The individual will banned for life from all NFL stadiums and events.”

No president has ever done this before

Roc Nation, who organised the halftime show, revealed it was not meant to be part of the performance.

They added it was “neither planned nor part of the production and was never in any rehearsal.”

The halftime show continued without any interruption afterwards.

Viewers watching the Super Bowl missed the protest at home.

Fox were focused on Kendrick’s performance throughout the incident.

It was an eventful Super Bowl during the game, with Patrick Mahomes having a nightmare.

His dreams of a third Super Bowl in a row was shattered, as the Kansas City Chiefs lost 40-22 to the Philadelphia Eagles.
