If the youngster takes up every offer extended his way since a video of his desperate cry for help in the wake of shameless bullying went viral, he’s going to have a jam-packed 2020.
There was an immediate reaction from the sports world after the nine-year-old’s mother posted a video to social media.
The AFL’s Brisbane Lions took a team photograph holding up signs of support within hours.
But Quaden’s tour of triumph really got rolling on Saturday night when he walked out with the indigenous All-Stars in front of more than 20,000 NRL fans on the Gold Coast.
“We were honoured to have Quaden lead us out,” Manly forward Joel Thompson tweeted. “You’re a champion, great to see that big smile.”
Almost half a million dollars has been raised to send Quaden and his mother to Disneyland — but that won’t be his only stop Stateside after several NBA teams asked to be added to his itinerary.
The Houston Rockets noticed a photo of Quaden in their colours and tweeted: “Cool shirt, Quaden! We’re on your team. We’d like to invite you to Houston to come to a game when you visit the US.”
