9 year oldTheNew York Daily Newsreports that the body belonged to ex-con Sidney Harris, 64, who was found wrapped in blankets and a shower curtain inside his Arthur Avenue flat in New York City.
The killer left a short note along with the body saying “sorry for the smell.”

The New York Daily News reports that the landlord believed that Harris was in hospital and “wouldn’t be back”.
So he made a deal with the couple, both 18, to allow them to rent the flat if they helped clear out Harris’ belongings.
It was while doing this that they found a foot sticking out of a bundle of blankets.

It is not known how long the body had been there for but the coroner said he had died of multiple skull fractures.
Neighbours described Harris, a repeat offender who had been arrested 11 times on c-harges that included statutory rape, drug possession and robbery, as a “sweet guy.”
