Shakira reportedly dating Netflix hunk 16 years her junior

Lucien, 31, appeared alongside Shakira, 47, in the video for her single Punteria with rumours quickly swirling that they were more than just co-stars.

Now insiders have revealed the duo are an item – but pals are worried the Emily in Paris actor is only in it for fame.

A source told the Daily Mail: “Shakira is desperate to fall in love – but her friends are concerned because Lucien has slowly crept his way up the celebrity ladder while dating women who were all less famous than Shakira.

“Her friends fear he just wants people to know his name and she provides that. They are seeing each other but are not heavily involved yet.”

In the steamy video, the Hips Don’t Lie hit maker is seen rubbing blood from a topless Lucien’s chest after shooting him with an arrow.

She then rubs a hand up his leg seductively.

Shakira and Lucien were spotted out for dinner just days after the video dropped – but the insider added that pals are concerned she is not yet over ex-husband Gerard Pique.

Marriage split

She and footballer Gerard, 37, were together for 11 years before splitting in June 2022.

They share sons Sasha, nine, and 11-year-old Mila.

Following reports that Gerard had been unfaithful, Shakira released a statement telling fans: “We regret to confirm that we are parting ways.

 

 

 

 

“For the wellbeing of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect their privacy. Thank you for your understanding.”

Shakira reportedly worked out Pique was allegedly cheating on her when she found an empty jam jar in their fridge.

She was said to have been travelling for a period of time and came home to find the strawberry jam had been eaten – although neither Pique nor their children liked strawberry jam.

The superstar is said to have concluded that her Spaniard partner was having an affair and that someone else had been in their home.

Gerard is now dating a student who works for him, a 23-year-old named Clara Chia Marti.

Having her say

Just last week Shakira took a swipe at Gerard and insisted she is now “free”.

Discussing her new album on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, she said: “I’ve been putting out music here and there but it was really hard for me to put together a body of work.

“I didn’t have time because of the husband factor.

“Now I’m husbandless. Yeah, the husband was dragging me down. Now I’m free. Now I can actually work.”
