The Sussexes have enrolled their two children, Archie, 7, and Lilibet, in British schools. With the start of term just weeks away, their arrival in the country was clearly imminent - though it was not known that they’d land this soon.
It’s not clear where the family might live, though it’s understood that it won’t be in a royal residence.
There is plenty of speculation that they could be headed for the star-studded Cotswolds rural area of southern England, which would be a convenient dash from Birmingham.
The Cotswolds is also where Highgrove, King Charles’ country residence and beloved home, is also located.
It’s believed the King has welcomed the opportunity to see more of his family. However, the Sussexes are not expected to have any royal duties and will continue their private business ventures and charities.Last week, it was revealed the family of four was returning to the UK, a country they left six years previously.
While they have not yet determined the length of their stay, the decision regarding their children’s education clearly indicates that for the foreseeable future, at least, they intend to make Britain home.
It’s understood the King and Queen were recently informed of the Sussexes’ decision, which comes just weeks after the monarch reunited with his grandchildren for the first time in four years during a top-secret meeting at Charles’ Highgrove House estate.
The Sussexes’ UK move is said to have been partly inspired by how much they enjoyed their summer holiday there – and their time spent with Harry’s extended family.
