Hollywood star Olivia Munn has been forced to address a wild rumour circulating on social media this week.
The actress was accused of verbally abusing and underpaying a house cleaner after a video of the woman complaining about how poorly she and her friend were treated by someone famous went viral on TikTok, and subsequently Twitter.
The TikTok user sobbed in the video and complained that she had been “completely robbed,” and had been left “humiliated” after being overworked and underpaid.
As commenters speculated about the identity of the “famous actress” being referenced in the clip, many pointed the finger at Munn and alleged the star is “known” for being “awful”.
After Munn was made aware of the rumours, she took to Instagram to respond to the wild claim.

“That TikTok thing is insane,” wrote the star. “First of all, I can’t believe how this woman was treated. She did really great work. But, I’m not the actress you’re looking for. The housekeeper in that video is in Israel. I live in LA.”
She continued: “I have one housekeeper — who is not the woman in that video — and I love her and pay her every week. Please tell TikTok for me.”
Meanwhile, Munn recently made her red carpet debut with her partner, John Mulaney.
The couple, who share a 2-year-old son named Malcolm, walked the red carpet together at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ 14th Governors Awards in January.
It’s unclear why Mulaney and Munn waited three years to walk a red carpet together, but their relationship did have a controversial start. It was revealed in May 2021 that Mulaney had been dating Munn amid his divorce from Anna Marie Tendler, his then-wife of six years.
Tendler had not been taking the split well and said via a rep at the time: “I am heartbroken that John has decided to end our marriage. I wish him support and success as he continues his recovery.”
Later that year, Mulaney claimed on Late Night With Seth Meyers that he “moved out” of the home he shared with Tendler, 38, in October 2020, and, by the Spring of 2021, he had “met and started to date a wonderful woman named Olivia.”
He then announced he and Munn were expecting a baby together.
