2 year oldSam Smith has shared a series of cheeky, nearly nude snaps from a sunny yacht getaway, just weeks after being the target of cruel trolls over an outfit the singer wore at a Christmas event.
Smith, 30, who uses they/them pronouns, took to Instagram to share the holiday photos, telling followers to “always wear sun cream” as they posed in a tiny leopard print swimsuit.
Fans flooded the cheeky post with praise, applauding the Unholy singer for their body confidence.

“Keep being your unapologetic, incredible self. We love you Sam,” one fan wrote beneath the new images.
“My body looks a bit like yours. Maybe yours is better. Taking such body pictures ‘confidently’ is goals tbh as I’m still learning to love my body. Love ya sis,” another said.
“So proud of you for reaching this place on your journey of self-acceptance,” someone else wrote. “I know it hasn’t been easy for you and seeing you here like this is really cool. I’m inspired. So much love to you and can’t wait for the new album.”
Earlier this month, fans went in to bat for the singer after they were attacked online for wearing a glittery silver jumpsuit while performing their hit song Unholy alongside Kim Petras at the Jingle Ball event in London.
Smith took to the stage wearing a silver sequined Valentino jumpsuit with black patent boots, silver waist belt and drop earrings. But the look prompted cruel comments about the singer’s weight, sending fans into defence mode as they called out the blatant body-shaming.
I see a lot of people trashing Sam Smith for wearing this fab jumpsuit but praising Harry Styles for wearing basically the same thing. Gross. pic.twitter.com/KjOYxrDQOz

One fan tweeted: “It’s actually gross constantly seeing people tear into Sam Smith for their appearance when there’s a lot of us, myself included, who have a similar body type to them. God forbid a queer person dresses/expresses themself unapologetically, apparently only thin people are allowed.”
Another commented that while fellow British musician Harry Styles has been widely praised for similar onstage looks, Smith was vilified for having a different body type.
“I see a lot of people trashing Sam Smith for wearing this fab jumpsuit but praising Harry Styles for wearing basically the same thing. Gross,” their tweet read.
Smith, who is non-binary, has been vocal about their relationship with body image in the past.
Back in 2019, they posted a shirtless picture to Instagram with a candid caption.
“In the past, if I have ever done a photo shoot with so much as a T-shirt on, I have starved myself for weeks in advance,” Smith wrote.
“I decided to fight the f**k back.
“Reclaim my body and stop trying to change this chest and these hips and these curves that my mum and dad made and love so unconditionally.”
