A Florida rapper allegedly shot and killed a mother of three at her California home before killing himself.
Police say a child called 911 during the alleged murder-suicide that left rapper J $tash and his girlfriend dead on New Year’s Day, The US Sun reports.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said the 911 call came from one of Jeanette Gallegos’ three children, who were home at the time of the shooting.

The couple was arguing about their relationship in the early hours of January 1 when J $tash reportedly took Gallegos into a master bedroom and locked the door, Mr Alfred said.
The lieutenant told The Sun that Gallegos’ children, three boys ages 7, 9, and 11 years old, knocked on the door periodically to make sure their mum was OK.
Around 7am, Mr Alfred said the kids heard gunshots and called their grandmother, who told them to call police.
“It’s a very tragic situation,” Mr Alfred told The Associated Press.
He said he didn’t know if the call came in to 911 before or after Gallegos was shot.
The boys ran out of the house and toward deputies when the sheriff’s department got there.
When deputies went inside the home, Mr Alfred said they forced their way into the locked master bedroom and found Gallegos and J $tash dead.
J $tash, 28, and Gallegos, 27, were publicly identified as the deceased on Monday.
The boys, who are not related to J $tash, were unhurt and are now in the care of their father, according to Mr Alfred.
No note was found, but deputies were believed to have visited the home on one prior occasion, according to Mr Alfred.
He said the call was for a possible domestic violence situation, but deputies left without making any arrests.
Investigators were awaiting autopsy and forensic results, including information from ballistics tests, to confirm what took place inside the house.
Aside from the alleged arguing, Mr Alfred didn’t have further details to share about what led to the gunfire.
He said deputies had been called to the Temple City home once in the past for a report of domestic violence, but no arrests were made.
While few details about Gallegos’ life have been released, J $tash was known as an up-and-coming rapper in the entertainment industry.
He rose to fame following his 2016 album, Hood Rich, and has since released an additional three albums including: No More Distractions, Relax With Me, and 6ix Before 7even.
J $tash also dabbled in modelling and design and had a following of over 164,000 users on Instagram.
As news of his death spread on social media, rapper SpotemGottem wrote, “Speechless wishing this is a dream damn J.”
Others took to Twitter to share their shock over the reported details of Gallegos’ death with many heartbroken over her children’s loss.
“That J $tash incident crazy Rip to mother of 3 poor kids,” one person wrote.
