Katy Perry admits she ‘did more’ than just kiss a girl

It seems there may be more to Katy Perry's teenage dreams than she initially let on.
Though her 2008 breakout song "I Kissed a Girl" includes the lines, "I kissed a girl and I liked it/I kissed a girl just to try it," Perry admitted that she "did more than that" while accepting an award at the Human Rights Campaign Gala Dinner in Los Angeles Saturday night.

Though the "Chained to the Rhythm" singer, who recently split from Orlando Bloom, has become more outspoken about sexuality, there was a time the "California Gurl" was a devout Catholic who says she spent her summers at "Jesus camps" trying to "pray the gay away."

"Truth be told, I did more than that," the 32-year-old singer said in reference to her first hit. "But how was I going to reconcile that with the gospel-singing girl raised in youth groups that were pro-conversion camps? What I did know was I was curious, and even then I knew sexuality was not as black and white as this dress. But in 2008, when that song came out, I knew that I started a conversation, and a lot of the world seemed curious enough to sing along, too."
