The 2024 Ebony Power 100 Gala on Nov. 17 at Nya Studios West in Los Angeles celebrated Black excellence and achievement across various sectors.

This year, Ebony has enlisted Michelle Buteau and Tone Bell, from Netflix’s “Survival of the Thickest,” to host the gala, and guests will enjoy performances by Grammy Award-winner Coco Jones and Durand Bernarr.

The honorees span multiple fields that recognize different talents and contributions. Honorees include playwright Branden Jacobs-Jenkins and dancer Chloe Arnold; trailblazers in business such as Kevin Hart and Tracee Ellis Ross; and community activists like Arian Simone and Congressman Hakeem Jeffries.

Kerry Washington and Ryan Coogler are also celebrated for their influential work, while the “Generation Next” category recognizes emerging talents like Latto and Kai Cenat. The gala also celebrates athletes such as Stephen Curry and A’ja Wilson, and STEM pioneers like Dr. Ayana Elizabeth Johnson.

“Ebony Power 100 is a dazzling celebration of Black excellence at its absolute peak,” Ebony CEO Eden Bridgeman said in a statement. “With the reveal of our dynamic hosts and electrifying performers, this year’s event promises to be the most unforgettable yet. Ebony Power 100 is a transformative force, shining a spotlight on Black achievement across every sector. We are thrilled to offer a platform that not only honors today’s trailblazers but also ignites the aspirations of the next generation of Black leaders and innovators. Get ready for an extraordinary night that will inspire and uplift.”

Other honorees include Usher, “Wicked” star Cynthia Erivo and Oscar-winning actress Da’Vine Joy Randolph, as well as Vice President Kamala Harris, who has been named Ebony’s Icon of the Year. Guests included Brandon Blackwood, Aurora James, Emma Grede and more.
