8 year oldSafaree Samuels has said a lot of negative things about his relationship and breakup with Nicki Minaj, but his latest statement might be the most cutting so far.
Answering a post from The Game, wherein the rapper taunts Minaj’s new boyfriend Meek Mill for the way he was able to get close with the “Anaconda” rapper, Samuels said: “Honestly I should thank him.”
In the post, The Game told Mill: “Now tell the world how you got yo b***h. You Facetimed Nicki while @iamsafaree was f*****g a chick! #OOOOUUUUUU #PESTCONTROL #MEEKYMOUSE You not coming back from these L’s p***y!!!! They been in ya name the whole time!!!! #ThatWhatYouDoHuh #RatN*****sOutTheyB***h #SqueakMeal.”
Samuels may have been throwing a bit of shade, but the rapper has also previously said that he no longer has bad feelings toward his ex. During an appearance on “VH1 Live,” Samuels opened up about his former relationship and said that he is willing to be friends with the “Only” rapper, so long as she manages to set her pride aside.
“Too much has been done,” Samuels said. “Too much has been built for me to be like, ‘I hate you.’ At first, it was what it was, but now I’m over it. I’m happy you are, too. Let bygones be bygones.”
Before he got over the failed relationship, Samuels took a jab at Minaj several times since they broke up. The rapper claimed that he was treated like an employee during their relationship. Samuels said in an appearance on “The Breakfast Club” that he walked away from the relationship because he no longer felt respected.
Samuels also later claimed to have helped Minaj in writing all of her songs. While Minaj has denied the claims, some people from the hip-hop industry, including rapper Rah Digga, believes Samuels told the truth.
Samuels and Minaj dated for 12 years before calling it quits in 2014.
