Lady Gaga splits from fiance Taylor Kinney: report

The couple ended their five-year relationship earlier this month, but it’s not clear who called it quits, TMZ reports.

“She was really crushed,” an insider told Us Weekly about the split, adding the couple drifted apart.

The insider also said Gaga’s recent trip to Cabo, Mexico — during which she didn’t wear her engagement ring — was “a girl’s trip to get away and get over it.”

The pair has not yet commented on the news.

Kinney proposed to the Bad Romance singer on Valentine’s Day last year with a huge heart-shaped rock.

Gaga confirmed her engagement on Instagram, posting: “He gave me his heart on Valentine’s Day, and I said YES!”.

The couple had planned to wed in Italy, with Gaga recently saying her mother Cindy and female relatives were organising her big day.

Gaga, 30, first met the Chicago Fire actor, 35, on the set of her You And I video, in which he played her love interest.

They began dating several months later and, despite splitting briefly in May 2012, didn’t leave each other’s side.

In January, the creative couple posed naked on the cover of V magazine after having sex on a paint canvas. Gaga, who served as guest editor, said she came up with the concept as a way to raise awareness about mental illness.

“Years ago, when we (Gaga and Kinney) were secretly living in San Diego and crashing on the floor of a beach shack, we never wore shoes,” Gaga wrote in the magazine.

“He told me he wanted to make love to me on a canvas. I asked (Taylor) to collaborate with me on a project to raise money and awareness about mental illness, (and) he immediately brought my attention back to this idea.”

In the same month, Kinney’s mum Pamela Heisler gushed over the American Horror Story: Hotel actress, calling her future daughter-in-law “the sweetest thing ever”.

“She was a sweetheart. I loved her from the moment I met her,” she toldEntertainment Tonight at the People’s Choice Awards.

Gaga this week made headlines after being pulled over by cops in LA for not having her new numberplates. She passed her driver’s test just two weeks ago.

“Ya I got pulled over. Big deal! I just haven’t received plates yet for my new pick up! (sic),” she tweeted.
