7 year oldCountry music star Keith Urban is purchasing a lavish $39 million Manhattan townhouse for his wife Nicole Kidman so she can take her acting career to Broadway, according to a report.
Urban bought the six-story Upper East Side townhouse — which Michael Jackson once called home — so the Oscar winner, 50, can pursue her stage dreams in the city after starring in a London production of the award-winning play “ Photograph 21,” according to Women’s Day.
“Nicole is keen to do Broadway shows and get into making TV programs and New York is a much better place for them to be than Nashville,” a source told the magazine.
The six-story limestone and red brick mansion was put on the market by billionaire hedge funder Marc Lasry The Post first reported earlier this month.
Built in 1898, the 25-foot-wide home is 12,745 square feet and comes with 16 rooms, including seven bedrooms.
The mansion features an oak staircase and 10 woodburning fireplaces. Outdoor spaces include a garden-level patio and a private roof deck with a kitchen on the sixth floor.
