In the shot, taken by the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, the disgraced Cosby Show actor looks dishevelled, with grey hair, and has a face mask clinging to his neck and an apparent smile on his face.
Bill Cosby is trending on Twitter. Why? It appears people are giving attention to a new mug shot on the PA Department of Corrections website in which he appears to be smiling. The 83-year-old was convicted in 2018 and sentenced to three to ten years behind bars after drugging and molesting Andrea Constand at his Philadelphia estate in 2004.
It’s the only case that has resulted in criminal charges against Cosby after he was accused by more than 60 women of crimes including rape, drug facilitated sexual assault, sexual battery, or other sexual misconduct.
One Twitter user said the former comedian “used to be a hero of mine.”
“It really broke my heart when it became clear to me that he was actually guilty. I wish in the political realm more people would be willing to turn away from their heroes when it’s abundantly clear they’re in the wrong.”
Another added: “The reason Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby are each old while they’re in prison is b/c it took decades for their victims to get justice.”

When women report rape and sexual assault, y’all are so quick to victim blame, call them liars and show them no sympathy.

Cosby’s publicist and crisis manager Andrew Wyatt told Deadline recently that his team are working on trying to get an early release for him during the coronavirus pandemic.
They say that being around other prisoners will put him at risk of contracting the disease.
“Mr. Cosby’s lawyers are now considering filing a motion asking the court to release Mr. Cosby from prison and place him under house arrest for the duration of his sentence,” Wyatt said.
“Specifically, the lawyers are focusing on whether states are granting early release to elderly inmates from prisons due to the coronavirus – which could be a valid legal argument for Mr. Cosby.”
“For the record, Mr. Cosby has not been tested for the virus – but is feeling fine – other than being blind and his blood pressure spiking at times,” Wyatt added.
