6 year oldCardi B announced Tuesday night that she and her husband, fellow hip-hop star and Migos member Offset, have split after one year of marriage. The "Bodak Yellow" rapper shared the news in a candid Instagram video post.
"So everybody been bugging me and everything and you know I’ve been trying to work things out with my baby father for a hot minute now," Cardi B said. "And we are really good friends and we are really good business partners — you know, he’s always somebody that I run to, to talk to, and we got a lot of love for each other but things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time."
Added the Love & Hip Hop: New York alum: "And it’s nobody fault. I guess we grew out of love but we are not together anymore. I don’t know, it might take time to get a divorce and I’m going to always have a lot of love for him because he is my daughter’s father."
Offset, with whom Cardi B shares four-month-old daughter Kulture, seemingly addressed the breakup by commenting on his wife's post with, "Y'all won."
The couple tied the knot in a secret September 2017 ceremony, and welcomed their child that following July. Their relationship was tested by speculation that Offset cheated on Cardi B, which the "I Like It" emcee addressed in an April cover story interview with Cosmopolitan. "I want to work out my shit with my man, and I don’t got to explain why," she said at the time of her decision to stay with Offset. "I’m not your property. This is my life."
