Lil Wayne Hospitalized After Having Seizures During Flight

The rapper’s private jet had to make an emergency landing in Omaha, Nebraska.

Lil Wayne was taken to a hospital on Monday after having multiple seizures, according to TMZ.

The 33-year-old was on a cross-country flight f-rom Milwaukee to California, when he suffered a seizure, forcing his private jet to make an emergency landing in Omaha, Nebraska.

According to TMZ, after landing, the rapper initially refused medical treatment but later suffered a second seizure and reportedly lost consciousness. KETV NewsWatch 7 reports that the rapper was taken CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center for treatment.

Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr., was previously hospitalized in 2013 for seizures that reportedly stemmed f-rom a suspected codeine overdose.

Following his hospitalization, the rapper revealed that he was epileptic in a radio interview with Power 106.

A rep for Wayne confirmed to Reuters in an email that the rapper had two minor seizures on Monday. .

“Under the guidance of his own doctors, he is now in stable condition and good spirits. He thanks his fans for their everlasting support, prayers and well wishes,” he said.
