The new addition is the first child for Teigen and Legend, 37, who tied the knot in Lake Como, Italy in September 2013 after dating for seven years.
The couple chose to announce the pregnancy with a sweet message on Instagramthat touched on their fertility struggles, telling fans, “It hasn’t been easy, but we kept trying because we can’t wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family.”
Two months later, the couple again chose Instagram to break the news they were expecting a girl, and when a fan asked if there were any names they were considering, Teigen responded the way you would expect her to:

Teigen’s desire to be a mother was no secret and she revealed she hoped for a “Angelina-Brad-type brood“ when she stopped by HuffPost Live in 2014. Likewise, Teigen told DuJour magazine this past May, “We want a lot of kids. I would love to have three or four of my own, and then adopt a few. So basically I’ll be pregnant the rest of my life.”
