3 year oldIn non-Covid circumstances, celebs are always flying all over the world – and we all know how boring long-haul flights can be.
But it turns out many stars have found ways to make the journey go quicker by joining the mile-high club.
UK media personality Amanda Holden, 50, is the latest in a long line of famous faces to admit to some X-rated activities on board, confessing she’d “had a go” at joining the club with her husband Chris Hughes.
However, the couple’s attempt to get intimate in the air proved unsuccessful as she insisted too many people would have spotted them.

Speaking with pal Alan Carr on his podcast Life’s A Beach, when asked if she’d ever had sex on a plane, Holden answered: “Well, we’ve had a go, but we never quite made it. There’s too much scrutiny.
“Everyone’s watching. There’s no way you can do that.”
But there are a fair few celebrity members of the mile-high club who wouldn’t agree.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have always been open about their sex life.
The 35-year-old model and All Of Me singer, 42, have admitted to having sex on a plane – and it wasn’t even in a toilet.
“We were on our way to Thailand to see my parents, flying commercial first-class,” Teigen said, detailing the moment to Cosmopolitan.
“We were under a blanket. We weren’t even in one of those pod things.
“I feel like we should get a trophy for that.”
Miranda Kerr

Aussie model Miranda Kerr, 38, admitted to joining the mile-high club.
She also confessed she may have enjoyed a bit of self-love too.
“Let’s put it this way, I’ve had an orgasm in the air before,” she told GQ. “Alone. And together.”
Kris and Caitlyn Jenner
Kris Jenner was married to Caitlyn Jenner for more than 15 years, so they’re bound to have many memories together.
But Kris, 65, previously revealed their most embarrassing moment together was when they were caught having sex on a plane.
“The most embarrassing moment was when I was with (Caitlyn) on a commercial airliner in first class,” she told Cosmopolitan. “We joined the mile-high club and felt we got away with it.
“We had sex in the bathroom and we came out and nobody said anything.”
It wasn’t until the plane landed, that they realised they’d been caught out – and everyone knew their little secret.
“At the end of the flight, the flight attendant got on the microphone, ‘Congratulations, Mr and Mrs Jenner! You’ve just joined the mile-high club. We’re so proud of you, and we decided to give you a bottle of champagne! Yay!’
“I could not squish down in my seat low enough. I was mortified.”
Kim Kardashian

Like mother, like daughter: Kim Kardashian has also done the deed on a plane.
Although she didn’t say who she did it with, the 40-year-old star admitted it during a live Q&A with her fans on her app.
When asked if she was part of the mile-high club, Kim said: “Am I? Yeah.
“But like (a private plane). I don’t think like a public plane … It would have to be an international flight.
“It was an international night flight when no one’s like around.”
Cara Delevingne
Cara Delevingne has admitted she’s done it more than once.
In Love magazine, she said: “I’ve had sex in planes a lot. But I’ve always been caught. It’s super-hard not to get caught.
“I had sex in the chair on the plane and there was a guy watching.
“We ended up telling the stewardess what was happening. Like, ‘This guy keeps staring at us. Can you tell him to stop?’”
While Cara, whose exes include Harry Styles and Jake Bugg, kept her lover’s name secret, she was seen sneaking off to the toilet with then-girlfriend St Vincent on a Virgin flight from LA to London in 2015.
Passengers told The Mirror how the couple disappeared for 15 minutes after a kissing session before returning to their seats looking dishevelled.
Liam Neeson
A-list actor Liam Neeson, 69, even remembers the airline he was flying with when he joined the club.
In a press conference in 2014, he admitted: “I joined the mile-high club many years ago.
“I remember it was on a Lufthansa flight.”
Ralph Fiennes
In 2007, Qantas stewardess Lisa Robertson claimed she’d had a fling with Harry Potter actor Ralph Fiennes, in the business-class toilet on a flight from Darwin to Mumbai.
After originally denying the rumours when they were reported, she told the Mail on Sunday: “It’s true. We did make love on the plane that night.
“At first I denied it because I was so desperate to keep my job and I didn’t want to hurt Ralph.
“I know some people will think it’s disgusting. And I’m not proud of what I did – it was inappropriate behaviour.
“But I don’t regret it.”
She added: “Ralph is gorgeous and the chemistry between us was amazing. What woman wouldn’t want to make love with him?
“This sort of attraction happens to people all the time. It’s just not usually with a Hollywood star at 35,000 feet.”
Barbra Streisand and James Brolin
According to The Mirror, the 79-year-old Funny Girl star and her husband, James Brolin, chartered a private jet to fly over LA, purely to become honorary members of the mile-high club.
Janet Jackson
Janet Jackson once revealed she had sex on a plane, surrounded by passengers.
On her TV show, Tyra Banks asked the 55-year-old singer where the “craziest place” she’d ever got intimate was.
After some gentle nudging from the America’s Next Top Model host, Janet reluctantly replied: “On a plane – a commercial aeroplane.”
Tyra then asked if the mid-air romp took place in the toilet, to which Janet replied “No, that’s what makes it worse – it was at my seat!”
Sir Richard Branson
As the founder of Virgin Airlines, it’s not surprising that Sir Richard Branson is a member of the mile-high club.
However, the 70-year-old business tycoon’s foray into the club was when he was just 19 years old – and with a married woman.
Detailing the steamy events, he told GQ: “I was sitting in economy on a Freddie Laker flight, next to this very attractive lady, as we headed to LA.
“We got chatting and it went a bit further. And it was every man’s dream, to be honest. I was about 19, I think.
“I remember getting off the plane and she turned to me and said, ‘Look, it’s slightly embarrassing but I am meeting my husband at arrivals, would you mind holding back a bit…’.
“But it was a memorable flight.”
Talking about the intricacies of getting down and dirty in a plane toilet, he continued: “The problem with plane loos generally is that they are very small, and the acrobatics can’t take too long because there’s no room and people start banging on the door.
“What I remember vividly is seeing four handprints on the mirror as we finished, and thinking I’d better wipe them off.”
