This article is more than
8 year oldIt’s not deja-vu. We did see plenty of OnePlus 3 vs. Galaxy S7 real-life speed tests in recent months, some of them having surprising conclusions, but these comparisons are far from over. The Galaxy S7 is one of the best and fastest Android handsets money can buy. But with 6GB of RAM on board, the OnePlus 3 should be even faster.
The Chinese company fixed its RAM management problems it had following its mid-June launch, and the OnePlus 3 now looks like an entirely different phone.

YouTube channel Phone Buff put the two devices through the same speed test meant to simulate real-life conditions where users would keep loading apps and move back and forth between open apps.
Both devices seem to be performing equally at the beginning of the test, which would suggest the Galaxy S7 with its 4GB of RAM is the winner. But the OnePlus 3 starts pulling ahead and finishes the first round in the test – opening new apps – faster than the Samsung phone.
The OnePlus 3 also comes ahead in the second round – reopening an app that was opened in the previous sequence – suggesting that OnePlus has fixed the troubling RAM management issues. The phone is indeed incredibly fast, check it out below.
That said, we can only wait for Samsung to launch its own smartphone sporting 6GB of RAM, the Galaxy Note 7 that's set to arrive next month, to see whether it can beat the OnePlus 3 in similar speed comparisons.
