Samsung Galaxy Note fans, of which there are many (including us) were understandably disappointed at the move.
Sometimes something happens in the mobile tech world that just seems plain weird - a tech firm does something inexplicable, for its own reasons that are never revealed, and we're left to stand around scratching our heads in confusion. That's what happened when Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 5 in September 2015, but decided to restrict availability to Asia and North America - the rest of us in Europe, the UK, and elsewhe-re, were left with the Galaxy S6 edge+ as our only up-dated Samsung phablet option for the forseeable - not a bad phone at all, a really rather great phone, in fact, but NOT a Galaxy Note device.
