The Princess of Wales has posted an adorable picture of Prince George on his 11th birthday as his godmother reveals a cheeky birthday tradition.
The Princess of Wales has posted an unseen picture of Prince George to celebrate the future monarch’s 11th birthday.
The tasteful black and white image was posted to William and Kate’s X account on Monday with the message: “Wishing Prince George a very happy 11th birthday today!”
It comes as George’s godmother Julia Samuels, 64, revealed a cheeky birthday tradition inspired by Princess Diana.
Ms Samuels said that each year she buys a noisy toy for George that is very difficult for Prince William to put together, a running joke inspired by his late grandmother.
Speaking about George, Ms Samuels said: “He is amazing. He’s funny and feisty and cheeky and God she [Diana] would have loved him so much.
“That is heartbreaking for all of them.”
George has delighted royal fans my making a number of recent public appearances, including the Euros final when England lost 2-1 to Spain.
The Prince of Wales and George went from ecstasy to agony as the referee blew his final whistle.

A week earlier, George was pictured joking and laughing with his mother and siblings as they stood on the royal balcony to celebrate the King’s birthday.
George and Louis waved with two hands to crowds with their sister at their side.
Lip reader Gaby Lane caught the cute moment the young Prince appeared eager to catch Kate’s attention, telling her: “Look over there ma,” as they travelled down the Mall.
Ms Lane added Kate and William’s eldest “looked so happy” as the family waved and smiled at fans during the procession.
