Former South Bend, Ind., mayor has 26.9% of state’s delegates with 62% of precincts reporting

DES MOINES, Iowa—The first wave of delayed results from Monday night’s Iowa caucuses showed Pete Buttigieg and Sen. Bernie Sanders at the top of the pack, with Sen. Elizabeth Warren in third and former Vice President Joe Biden a distant fourth.

The release of the results followed a brief news conference Tuesday afternoon with Iowa Democratic Party Chairman Troy Price, who said the “reporting of the results and the circumstances surrounding the 2020 Iowa Democratic Party caucuses were unacceptable.”
